Bay Area Marketplace, INVITATION TO BID Owner: Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) Project: Montague Expressway & South Milpitas Boulevard Improvements Contract #: C640 (15014) Bid Date & Time: 7/22/15 @ 2:00 p.m. GHILOTTI CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC., is seeking certified SBE subcontractors and suppliers for the Montague Expressway & South Milpitas Boulevard Improvements. NOTE: All SBE firms must be certified by VTA’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Businesses (OSDB), the California Unified Certification Program (CUCP) or as accepted by VTA at the time of bid to be counted toward the contract SBE goal. The scope of work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: demolition of building and structures, clearing & grubbing, earthwork and grading, utility work including water, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and recycled water, roadway construction including AC paving, concrete curb & gutter, sidewalk, retaining walls, and conform work, bore and jack operations for utility installations, signing, striping & pavement markings, bridge construction and work within the vicinity of Berryessa Creek including pile foundations, abutments, & retaining walls, traffic control, traffic signals, street lights, electrical work and related appurtenances, storm water treatment basins, landscaping & irrigation. Quotes requested include, but are not limited to, the following scopes of work : EROSION CONTROL, CLEAR & GRUB, BIORETENTION BASIN, SIGN STRUCTURES, MINOR CONCRETE (CURB, GUTTER, SIDEWALK, RAMPS, DRIVEWAY), MISC. STEEL, STRIPING, MARKING & PAVEMENT MARKERS, ELECTRICAL, LIGHTING & SIGNALS, DOMESTIC & RECYCLED WATER SYSTEMS, SANITARY SEWER SYSTEMS, TRAFFIC CONTROL, TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, TEMP CRASH CUSHION, CHANNELIZERS, BUILDING DEMO, RAIL TRACK REMOVAL, REMOVAL OF: FENCE, BRIDGE, TREES, CONCRETE CURB & RETAINING WALL, COLD PLANE AC, LANDSCAPE & IRRIGATION, BIOTREATMENT CELLS, TREE FILTERS, MICROSURFACING, PCC BUS PAD, FURNISH/DRIVE PILES, PRESTRESSING CIPC, STRUCTURAL CONCRETE, BRIDGE, RETAINING WALL, APPROACH SLAB, JOINT SEAL, KEYSTONE CONCRETE RETAINING WALL, MINOR CONCRETE STRUCTURES, BAR REINFORCING STEEL, STORM DRAIN SYSTEM, BORE & JACK, FENCE, CONCRETE BARRIER, TRAFFIC COMMUNICATION, FURNISH/DRIVE STEEL SHEET PILES, STREET SWEEPING, SUPPLIERS OF CONCRETE, ASPHALT & AGGREGATE & TRUCKING. Engineer's Estimate: $20 – 25 million / SBE Goal: 13.66% / 630 CD and up to $7,500 per day damages based on milestones / Submit quotes by NOON on bid date. It is also highly recommended that prospective bidders register on VTA’s website to insure the receipt of any addenda and other information pertaining to this IFB. Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming GCC as additional insured; including completed operations coverage; Use form ‘CG-2010-1185’ or equivalent; include Primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
